It's not all free …

leaves_geoff_curtis470_470x470-Panorama2Dear poetry supporters,

Two urgent updates about the poetry festival: Unlike the other Festival events, tickets for the Amherst Launch event and the Sunday workshops at the Boston Children’s Museum are not free. The Amherst Cinema and Boston Children’s Museum will charge their normal ticket prices at the door. (Or, in the case of the Amherst Cinema, you can purchase advance tickets online.) The events are at two fabulous locations, and ticket sales go directly to supporting the venues. The Amherst Launch on Thursday, Oct 15 will be hosted at the Amherst Cinema, an independent cinema operated by Amherst Cinema Arts Center. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children/seniors. The Boston Children’s Museum, a non-profit educational center whose self-proclaimed mission is “to help children understand and enjoy the world in which they live,” will be hosting five workshops on Sunday, October 18: Japanese Book Binding, Writing a Group Poem, Children’s Poetic Art, Haiku for You, and Stories with Calef Brown. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $12 adults and $9 children/seniors.

Please note that making a donation on eventbrite will not reserve a ticket for the Amherst or BCM events.

Thanks for your understanding!
