Get Ready for Student Day of Poetry on March 21!

audience student dayStudent Day of Poetry is Massachusetts’ day-long poetry field trip offering performances and creative writing workshops for teens by celebrated national and local poets, followed by a student open mike. We’ve got something for everyone, from sonnets to spoken word and everything in between — for the student who isn’t sure they even like poetry to the senior who leads the after-school poetry club. (As an added bonus, PD sessions are available for teachers while students are in workshops.)

Student Day of Poetry for 2014 will be Friday, March 21st at UMass Boston. Teachers and poetry group leaders, register here.

See Teachers: What the Student Day of Poetry Offers, an interview with Laurin Macios, the Program Director of Mass Poetry, for more on this year’s program.
