A word from Michael Ansara, Co-founder of Mass Poetry.

Michael AnsaraAs of this morning (June 3), we have raised $6,635 dollars–74% of our goal, and certainly no small feat. Every donation and share has helped get us there, and we are grateful and encouraged; this is something that can only be done for the community by the community, and that’s part of what makes it so special. But we still currently need to raise $2,365 to make it happen, and we have seven days in which to do it.  [Read more…]

Poetry on the T has supporters who not only give but take an active part in promoting the new program. One of those activists is Mark Schorr of the Robert Frost Foundation.  Here is his account of his participation.Mark Schorr

A message from Mass Poetry co-founder Michael Ansara:

Inspire Boston today

Friends and poetry lovers: We have $4,025 left to raise and only 13 days left! Don’t miss this chance to be a part of something big for Boston. Together, we can keep Poetry on the T all summer while showing large, long-term sponsors that people want to see poems in place of ads.

Nicco Mele videoTake a moment to hear Nicco Mele, co-founder of Mass Poetry, explain how seeing a poem on the NYC subway changed his life forever–and then help us make that true for millions of Bostonians. If you can donate even $10, and invite 5-10 friends to do the same, we will blow through our goals to inspire Boston together.

New incentive:

A three-hour workshop led by Jeffrey Levine, Publisher & Editor-in-Chief of Tupelo Press
